How do I use Cihazla when buying a phone?

Install it on the phone you are about to buy, tap “Start test,” and follow the steps. When the inspection finishes you get a health score, a category breakdown, and any critical risks. Delete the app afterwards if you do not buy the device.

What does the test cover?

Screen and touch, cameras and flash, speaker and microphone, motion sensors, buttons and haptics, Face ID or Touch ID, battery health, charging, connectivity, parts and service history, and ownership checks such as Activation Lock and IMEI.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No. There is no account and no sign-up. The app works offline; the connectivity step only reads the current connection status to confirm the network hardware works.

Why do some steps ask me to open Settings?

iOS does not let apps read certain values. Battery maximum capacity, parts and service history, and Activation Lock status can only be seen in the Settings app, so Cihazla shows you the exact path and you enter what you see.

Does the app take photos or record me?

The camera test shows a live preview only — nothing is captured or saved. The microphone test records about four seconds so you can play it back and judge the audio; that file stays in the app's temporary storage on the device and is never uploaded.

How is the health score calculated?

Each category carries a weight out of 100: screen 20, battery 15, cameras 15, Face ID or Touch ID 10, microphone and speaker 10, sensors and buttons 10, charging and connectivity 10, and parts history 10. Ownership checks award no points but can flag critical risks.

Why does a phone with a high score still say “Purchase not recommended”?

Some findings outweigh any score: Activation Lock, an IMEI mismatch, a broken Face ID, an “Unknown Part” screen or camera, a dead touch zone, random shutdowns, a device that will not charge, suspected liquid damage, or a detected jailbreak. Any one of these produces that verdict.

How does the price assessment work?

Cihazla has no market price database. You enter the asking price and the current brand-new price of the same model, and the app estimates a realistic value band from the health score, the device's age, and its physical condition. It is guidance for negotiation, not a valuation.

Is the warranty status official?

No. It is estimated from the purchase date you enter, using the one-year manufacturer warranty and the two-year statutory warranty period. Always confirm with an official IMEI lookup.

Can I share or keep the report?

Yes. Reports are saved on the device and can be shared as a PDF or plain text from the report screen. Reports older than a day show a notice that they may not reflect the device's current condition.

Face ID verification does not open. Why?

The device may have no enrolled face or fingerprint. Ask the seller to add one in Settings — if enrollment succeeds, the hardware works. You can also mark the result manually in the app.

Does the app work on Android?

Not yet. Version 1.0 is iPhone-only, because several checks depend on iOS-specific screens such as Battery Health and Parts and Service History.
